I have a 800watt mtx thunder series amp, and two alpine type-e's. All I need is a box. Does anybody know if type-e's like ported or sealed? Should I get a box custom made to the dimensions the manufacturer suggests, or buy one from best buy? Anybody know manufacturer suggested dimensions for type-e's?
not sure the cuft that those subs need, but if you want more SPL, than go ported....if you want SQ, then go sealed. The best thing to do is build a box to man. specs. It's ok to buy a pre-fab one if it lines up with the man. specs or close enough to it. Best thing to do is call Alpine and they can tell you what those subs require.
