Help on Optima battery to amp

I have a ma aUDIO sY7011DX which is 1800 rms at 14.4v. , powering a 12 Cerwin Vega stroker 12 thats 4000 peek /2000 rms. and i've noticed that the amp is not getting the needed power.im trying to beat around getting a HO alternator. will getting a optima yellowtop battery and hooking it up to that provide the power it need? if not what will

it will help if your old battey is bad.

but the alternator will still produce the same amount of power..

^^there is no way around it, Car Audio is exspensive, so the only way to get around it is to do it. Also ur lights must dim like crazy when the bass hits, if not ur amp sux, also a cap will not help either

what if i hook the amp up to the battery seperatly, instead of haven it in relation to the alt.?

the alternator charges the battery, also why not register

no im talking about buying a seperate battery alone for the amp?

If you Run the Battery by itself without the alternator charging it then its just gonna Die in a handful of minutes Bean LOL... there is no way around getting an Ho alt, Sorry guy but you need the alt

You can't just slap on a 2nd battery to your system and expect it to work.
You need isolator so that the starter battery won't get drained.
If you added up the cost of isolator, yellowtop battery, and all the cables needed, it'll end up costing as much as a HO alternator.
So don't get fooled.
