New member Username: The_davePost Number: 8 Registered: Dec-05 | i have wired my amp up and it works but i cant figure out how to wire the sub to the amp. It is DVC and i dont have a clue what wiring to do as it can be done in parralell or somethin. Also it is a 1200w peak sub with 300w RMS, will my amp power it enough, 260w RMS bridged or 97w RMS x 2 channel at 4 Ohms? thanks |

Not much of an audible difference really. Either way the sub should have plenty of power to move pretty well. |

If so, wiring in parallel will overload the amp. According to your post, the amp is doing 97w rms x2 @ 4ohms. This means in bridged mode, it will not handle 2ohms. Normally, amps that can handle 2ohms bridged are 1ohm stable in stereo. Yours is only 4ohms. If that was a mistake, then it's probably 2ohms stable in stereo. This means you can't do parallel wiring at all. |
