Watts quick question

Bronze Member Username: Daniel07Denton, Texas Post Number: 11 Registered: Dec-05 | ok... if i have two 600W 4ohms 10" subs that have an RMS of 200 and a peak of the 600, will a 400 watt 2 channel amp be perfect for these?? this is what i have heard. the amp says it does 100W x2 @4 ohms... does this mean each channel does that or is that overall?? please help asap 2 questions |

Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 1475 Registered: Sep-04 | jake. that wiring picture shows how to make 2 SVC 4 ohm subs wire into a 2 ohm load. you could either wire that to one channel which would put out 200w( 100 to each sub) or you could wire it bridged and push appx 800 (400 to each sub) and fry the amp at the same time. the amp is to be bridged at 4 ohms, not 2 ohms. |
