Sunday, December 25, 2005 - 04:32 GMT Well, the cap won't rid the dimming, just bandage it. What's the amperage on your alternator? If it's dimming at half volume, that means you've got a smallish alternator. Mine's 130A and the lights don't dim until full volume (without clipping).

Sunday, December 25, 2005 - 04:46 GMT If it's dimming only at idle, don't worry about it. Alternators do best when the engine is turning around 2000-3000 RPM or so.

Sunday, December 25, 2005 - 04:50 GMT Agreed. My dimming is at like I said, full volume without clipping at idle. Pretty good for a Ford product lol.
