I was just wondering if there is any other material i could use for sound dampening that i can get for a cheap price from home depot or some other hardware store. I heard from someone that you can use some roofing material that will dampen the sound. Is this true???
ive heard of people using the stuff for spray on bed liner

peel and seal at lowes or home depo. 30mil thick as apposed to the average 50mil of dampeners. i purchased 150 sq ft of Thermo-Damp on ebay which is 50mil and 80mil. all this cost 170 bux which includes shipping; not bad considering the price of dynamat. it definatly had a nice affect on my car, but i cannot tell the true affects of it until the weather get a bit warmer. installation was a MAJOR B&TCH. i had to take out my whole interior and it took me 4 days to complete. but my doors sure do sound better closing now!
