is it better to have a high damping factor?????

and

do you have more stable bass at 2 or 4 ohms than at 1??

from hifonics website..

the brutus amps are 1 ohm stable but,

Naturally, all of our Brutus amplifiers can run at 4 or 2- Ohms as well, for an even more stable bass response!

the HF quote is just to keep you from running away from their stuff if you've got a 4 ohm or 2 ohm application.

DF is always pretty low on a low impedance amp. It's just a ratio of the impedance of the load being driven to the output impedance of the amp, so naturally - with a 1 ohm load vs 4 DF will be lower. It used to matter when 25w was a lot of power, but now with 200-300w being normal, and 500+ really common DF is not an issue. Every amp built today has a DF well above anything that could effect sound.
