DB Sensitivity

on some subs on-line, it shows a dB sensitivity, does that mean that it only goes up to that dB or that it can up to that and past it?

that just shows how loud the sub will play with 1watt free-air. it really doesn't mean anything when talking about subwoofers.

it does not mean how loud it will go.. it just a reading of how loud per watt a woofer will get. for example lets say you have subwoofer a with a 89 sens and subwoofer b with 83 if both woofers are feed equal amounts of power subwoofer a is likely to get louder asuming there in equal enclosures

oh ok, my bro said its really good to have high dB sensitivity because thats how loud the sub will get but i didn't know so yea..

like petit said though too.. theres alot of blown up numbers so u cant really rely on it
