IMO i hate coaxials because of the lack of a good crossover. if ur problem is that u dont have anywhere to mount a tweeter then 1, make a spot for them lol or 2, they have comp sets which hold the tweeter in the middle of the speaker.... they may be higher end though like i know cdt has some... |

Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 165 Registered: Oct-05 | who is CDT, never heard of them?? are the infinity ref. good speakers for the price?? what are they origonally? would the top link be good if powering off headunit? because my headunit is 45 x 5 watts and i am powering 4 speakers in all with HU |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 166 Registered: Oct-05 | for my HU being 45 x 5... what RMS of a pair of speakers would work well?? what model # is the best for the infinity ref?? there are a ton of diff models. or are they all pretty good. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 1454 Registered: Sep-04 | if u are permanetly going to run them off a hu u shud probably get the infinities. and ur HU is probably like 20x4 45x4 is the max power most likely... not positive though. cdt is cd technologies. they have great products but ive only heard results from people with the slightly higher end stuff from them... |
Silver Member Username: Dustin3Tigard, Or U.S. Post Number: 167 Registered: Oct-05 | so what RMS for a pair of speakers should i get so i am not underpowering them but not overpowering them? and remember i am going to have 2 pairs so 4 total speakers so i dont want one pair of speakers to be more than all the other ones. basically, i just want to know what RMS per speaker pair would work well. thanks alot trev. |
Gold Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 1463 Registered: Sep-04 | i think the infinity reference speakers should be a good buy and they are only 100 so you cant really lose. i dont know of many decent speakers that are rated much below 75w rms. im sure i could find some if i looked really hard so if ur really determined... search! lol. but its okay to underpower them if u dont clip the signal... |
