If you send your woofer a clipped signal from the amp then yes it will blow. Here the idiots guide to setting gains. Turn gain all the way down on your amp set everything to zero on your hu turn volumn on said hu to 3/4 way up now slowly turn gain of said amplifier up until you hear distortion. Now slowly back off until distortion disappears. Other than that take it to a shop who can professionally set them for you.
