If I was to get a cap do I add the rms values of the speakers and for the sub or do I just look at the rms values of the sub. I hope that makes sense. Thanks.

For a capacitor, figure in the rms of all your amplifiers added together. Most people seem to agree that 1 farad per 1,000 watts steady is enough.
