Friday, December 09, 2005 - 22:08 GMT set aside the fact that we're talking about mtx9500's. i've got a 4ohm dual voice coil 9500 and a 4 ohm single voice coil 9500. is there anyway to still run these together SAFELY? if so, what would they run at? and how would they sound??

Friday, December 09, 2005 - 22:14 GMT you could run them on 2 separate amps....other than the, not much you can do. if you can...sell the SVC one and buy another DVC4ohm one. that way you can grab a nice class-d amp and run the pair @ 1ohm.

Friday, December 09, 2005 - 22:26 GMT i was considering doing what you said. sell it and buy a dual. but i'm getting this speaker for 250, and it would cost me like 400 to buy the new one. so it wouldn't be much of a deal. unless i could somehow sell the svc for like 300-350 somewhere. i could also just buy the svc sub for the 250, and try to get someone to trade me a decent amp. and just bump the one fifteen.

Friday, December 09, 2005 - 22:29 GMT so you have 1 dvc 4ohm mtx9515 right now...and you are looking a buying and SVC 4ohm for $250. why not just save that $250 and grab a decent amp...i know of a few nice amps what would match that dvc 4ohm 15" for less than $300

Friday, December 09, 2005 - 22:35 GMT the 250 is a really good deal though. so i could probably make money on it. i was hoping that this guy i know would trade me the sub for the dvc version and like a 50 dollar difference. that would be a good deal.
