New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 1 Registered: Nov-05 | Hi, I'm upgrading my factory sound system or lack their of in my truck. I've been to many dealers and been offered many different subs. Some say go with Fosgate, while others say the use junk lately, not like in the 80's or 90's when they were the bad boys. But some say their "Stage/Power" Series is still the way to go. Some say Memphis is good, just trying to build up their name. I have found an old Fosgate Punch 75 amp that I think will suit me well. Now I just need some input before I make my purchase on the sub. HELP!!!! Any input will be appreciated. Thanks, Tami |

New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 2 Registered: Nov-05 | Thanks, Josh. Would you go with the stage/power, or is there something better out there for about the same $$$$$$$$?? Thanks |

New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 4 Registered: Nov-05 | Sorry, I'm new to all of this, what's sq or spl? |
Silver Member Username: Alex_fLawrenceburg, Ky Us Post Number: 127 Registered: Nov-05 | sq is sound quality, like how good it sounds.spl is sound prussure level, like how loud it gets |
New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 5 Registered: Nov-05 | Probably the sound quality would be the most important of the two for me. Thanks |
Silver Member Username: Alex_fLawrenceburg, Ky Us Post Number: 128 Registered: Nov-05 | fosgates aren't good sq. right now re audio is the sub to buy. u should get an sx series sub.$220 for the 12", $240 for the 15" and $265 for the 18". it has good sq and gets very loud. www.reaudio.com |

Silver Member Username: Alex_fLawrenceburg, Ky Us Post Number: 129 Registered: Nov-05 | well, the sx isnt bad either, and u ant beat the price for what u get |
New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 7 Registered: Nov-05 | The shop I was at was talking about making a box for one sub that would go in the area under my armrest in my "03 dodge quad cab truck with the box extending to the back seat for the "air needed". I was looking at getting a 12-15 inch sub. They are telling me that it's difficult to put two 10's (although it has /can be done) in the wells in the back under the bench seating. They said that they can make one sub in the front sound better than the two in the back under the seats. |

Silver Member Username: Alex_fLawrenceburg, Ky Us Post Number: 131 Registered: Nov-05 | i could build u a box |
New member Username: HattiehathatPost Number: 8 Registered: Nov-05 | What would that be like? Where would it be placed? If I go with the Rockfore Fosgate T212D2 Power Stage Series, how much vented airspace do I need to operate that sub? |
Bronze Member Username: Dark_man53190Post Number: 34 Registered: Dec-05 | well, if ur willing to spend 400-500 on a sub, id go with a brahma before a fosgate, right alex? much better sq and spl. |
