they arent any better....but for subs you want to go with a mono...you will get a lot more power..for alot cheaper..(not saying mono amps are bad quality)..and you can hook up as many subs as you want

mono is meant for subs....multi channel amps are meant for speakers...you dont want one channel of music going to 4 speakers...because then the sounds that are suposed to come on the left speakers..will come on all of them

also you dont want a multichannel amp for your subs

unless you already have one being unused. dont let it goto waste.

it is perfectyly fine to use a multi channel amp on subs..but if your buying a new one buy a mono...more power for less $$

it all depends on the ohms of your sub(s)

use this guide .........

okay well the best thing to do...is first get the subs you want..say they are each 500 watts RMS..so 1000RMS all together

then u want to find an amp that is 1000 RMS at one ohm...bc the less ohms..the more power to the subs..
so find an amp that is stable at one ohm..mono amp..and that is the same RMS @ 1 ohm as your subs

okay find an amp stable at one ohm.....and if the amp has 2 positives and two negatives...wire each sub separatly in parallel down to two ohms....and wire each sub to its corresponding negatives and postivie's..then since each pair of neg. and pos, have a two ohm load...the load will be cut in half and your amp will se it as 1 ohm....therefore giving you the most power to your subs...

if your amp just has one positive and one negative...wire both subs together down to one ohm...your manuals will show you how

but the best thing to do is just learn how all the combos of voice coils and stuf can go together..and whcih amps will be stabel at what ohms...thenn you can get the best for your money and get the best combo of power....but for now i would say get a 1 ohm stable that matches the power capabilities of your subs....deal with RMS NOT MAX
