Knocking,popping,hitting noise

Anonymous	Posted on Tuesday, December 06, 2005 - 01:13 GMT I'm giving my 500 watt rms subwoofer 200 watts rms and it makes this noise it isnt port noise or box noise it is th subwoofer itself and from 2 ft away i hear te noise and no bass but further i hear all bass no noise.is it amplifier clipping or distortion?
