Bronze Member Username: FrkkevinFort Worth, Texas US Post Number: 78 Registered: Nov-05 | The prices are tempting.. got me picking up 2 RESX15s. I really wonder how much it costs the company to make those subs anyway. Local shop down here almost carried them but while they were at the sema show they asked about the RE subs. Company said they were 10% over-rated and cost like 80-100 to build each sub depending on the size. Course they were just trying to make them sound bad so I'd hand them over a lot of money for there Diamond subs. Can't wait to prove to them how good these subs really are :D. |
Gold Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 1293 Registered: Nov-04 | Yeah the old stuff will still be available except the old XXX cuz they got a new one coming. |
Gold Member Username: BestmankindLos Angeles, CA USA Post Number: 1238 Registered: Oct-05 | bassmanmike are you going to hook it up in your room? |
Gold Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 1294 Registered: Nov-04 | Possibly.....I can hook it up to my stereo or i can buy a car amp for it and hook it up to my AC-DC power converter. |
Gold Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 1295 Registered: Nov-04 | Does anyone know what kind of surrounds RE puts on thier subs? rubber or foam? |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 3489 Registered: Jul-05 | amp for that sx will require @ a 100A AC-DC power converter..= expensive ! ........ |
Bronze Member Username: FrkkevinFort Worth, Texas US Post Number: 79 Registered: Nov-05 | speaking of amps.. i tried posting a new thread to ask this twice but on both accounts it seemed not to work. idk what the deal is. but anyway im still trying to decide what to get to power the sx15s.. was thinking strapping 2 kx1200.1s or RE12.1s .. or possibly getting 1 kx2500.1.. only diff with that is its 2500rms @ 2 ohm so i'd have to wire them in series(?). idk.. open for any amp choices .. willing to spend about $1000.00 shipped |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 1714 Registered: Mar-04 | anyone wanna make a donation so i can grab a second SX15? (i'm broke) |

Silver Member Username: Islandboy808Mililani, Hawaii US Post Number: 191 Registered: Nov-05 | can anyone buy me one and ship it to hawaii.ill pay for the shipping. |
Silver Member Username: Islandboy808Mililani, Hawaii US Post Number: 192 Registered: Nov-05 | and the price of the sub lol |
Silver Member Username: TdbdadrummerPost Number: 744 Registered: Aug-05 | I think RE uses treated foam surrounds. Whether or not foam adds to the SQ is debatable, but one thing is for sure, it will eventually dry rot, where rubber and poly will not. |
Gold Member Username: AraknidBOCA , FL U.S. Post Number: 1297 Registered: Nov-04 | I know foam will dry out thats why i was hoping they were rubber damn it . You think if they are foam I can get them to put a rubber one on mine if I ask? |
Silver Member Username: Baseball1187Columbia, SC Post Number: 254 Registered: Dec-04 | good foam does not dry out. plus, if you've ever seen this stuff, it's like a rubbery foam. why would it matter anyways? if rubber was better for their subs, i bet they'd use rubber! |
Bronze Member Username: SbrizziBoone, Nc Post Number: 24 Registered: Oct-05 | would an sx 18 sound beter and have more bass than a kickersolobarc 15 |

Still trying to get money together for this; I'll probably go in on this if at all on the Jan 15th if other people are still trying to decide as well. How does the group buy work bytheway? |
