JL amps have a regulated power supply, they will have the same output at 14.4 as they will at 11 volts. max power will usually mean 14.4 and the lowest possible impedance the amp will be stable at. but some over rated amps can't even produce their "rated output" period.(prob can, right before they catch fire though, lol) |

Silver Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 655 Registered: Feb-05 | typically you need 50-60 amps to run the car. so in your case, you might be ok, you'll just have to try and see. well, its a 4 channel, so you can't really use the dimming lights to tell if you'll need a HO Alternator or not. if the mids/highs cut in and out, you'll need a bigger alternator in your case. |
