Choosing a wiring kit...I'm an amatuer please help!

New member Username: 99hondacivicMillbury, Mass USA Post Number: 3 Registered: Dec-05 | I just bought a 350w ALPINE AMP (MRP-M350 1 Channel V-Power Class-D Mono Amplifier) and 2 12" JL Audio W0 subs. I have no idea about car audio or even cars in general. What kind of wiring kit would i need to hook this up??? How many gauges? or Watts? and is there anything else i need? Please help me...Would i be able to use a walmart wiring kit that is 5 gauges and 1400watts? |

Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 1688 Registered: Mar-04 | a walmart 8ga wiring kit will do if you just plan to run that 1 amp. but if you might upgrade to a larger amp in the future, get a 4ga kit. |

Silver Member Username: TheelfkeeperStockbridge, GA USA Post Number: 625 Registered: Feb-05 | theres usually not that big a pride differece between 4 gauge and 8 gauge kits. i'd look online, your talkin maby $40 max for the kit and RCA's. wal mart kits should be about the same. you don't want to get really cheap RCA's though, thoes can cause noise problems. ebay or knukonceptz if you wanna look at whats online |
