My battery (stock) is going bad and I need to replace it! I can't decide between a red or yellow top. It will be my main starter battery but I want as much CCA and reserve as possible for my audio system. What would you all recommend? I have been told, for my application the red top should do the job and generally a yellow would be like for a battery bank for when the car is off.

yellow and blue (marine) tops are deep cycle batteries inteded for repeated recharging after draining with no ill effects.
red tops allow for quick current distribution. in two battery set-ups, you would ideally run a red for while the car is started, and a yellow for while it's off.
there are better alternatives to optimas though. they were never made for car audio. they just ended up going that route.
it, like isolators, were designed with RV's in mind. i would like a kinetic battery, personally. just can't quite afford i yet.
