today i setup my amp and sub in my SUV, and popped in "40 oz to freedom" but before i could hear any bass from the sub, i had to turn the gain up 3/4 of the way, and with the head unit i have to turn the subwoofer level up 2/3 of the way, what's up?

i'm using a pioneer gm-5100T to power a cheap mtx rt10-04 that was given to me
