DUB Unregistered guest | I wanna know of ways I can listen to my system for longs periods of time while my truck is off and not run down the battery. What can I do to do this? |

Post Number: 393 Registered: Jun-05 | If you want to do this, you will DEFINATELY need to isolate the starter battery, and get a deep cycle 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th etc battery... Running a normal battery down passed 10.5 volts will cause permanent damage, almost immediately. Also, if you actually want to start the vehicle afterwards, the isolator is again, essential. Just to let you know, an extra yellow top, when my car is not running, will only play my system for around 5-15 minutes depending the type of music I'm listening to. So if you're running a serious system, and want to listen to it for longer than a few minutes.. You're talking battery bank man. Hope you have plenty of room. Seth |
