Car Stereo Stays On When Car Is Turned Off ...

i just hooked up my first stereo ... the only problem is sometimes it freezes up ... none of the buttons work ... and when the car is turned off ... the radio still stays on and frozen ,.... PLEASE HELP!!!! WHAT DO I DO!!!???
