Help!! 0.67 ohm issue

Okay if i wire up 3 subwoofers into a .67 ohm load is that shown on the amp as 1 ohm load or what??? my amp is only 1 ohm stable.. please help.. the subs are 4 ohm dvc.

that will cause overheating & shutdown ,possibly some amp damage .

just use 2 of those subs instead or buy a 0.5 ohm stable amp like Mmats .

A 2.67 ohm load is a 2.67 ohm load. The power an amplifier will deliver is proportionate to the resistance in the circuit. For instance:

1250w at 2 ohms
936w at 2.67 ohms
625w at 4 ohms

Amplifiers are just rated at those levels for ease of comparison (might be an ISO standard).

if u wanna run 3 subs with 2.67 load best if u buy a Jl or Phoenix gold amp with puts out rated power between 1.5-4ohms(JL) & 1-4ohms (PG)......

Whats the lowest impedance stable amp available, anyone know of the top of their head. I havent seen anything under 0.5 ohms. Let me know

.5ohms is almost a dead short! LOL
but theres a few that do it though.
that current draw will be huge!

I've heard of older amps running at .25 ohms. Might have been Orion, can't remember.

it depends on the amp. i know people running the ed 9.1 at .67 without fail or problems.
