New member Username: Aznvietboi87Post Number: 4 Registered: Oct-05 | just one last quick question. most of the amps i checked out there only list 4 and 2 ohms wattage that the amp can handle or even 1 ohm but it also means it can handle the stuff in between also right? like mine 1.5 ohms |
Gold Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 1863 Registered: Jul-05 | That JL site u posted showed that sub to 3ohms DVC HIF 1600BX specs RMS @ 4-Ohm: 1 x 550-Watts RMS @ 2-Ohm: 1 x 1100-Watts RMS @ 1-Ohm: 1 x 1600-Watts Hif amps are said to do about 70% of rated power @ 3ohms that would be 1/2 way between 1100 & 1600 = 1350wrms 70% of 1350 = 945 wrms ROUGHLY hmmm - might be a bit much check a lower model Hif amp maybe a 1500 or 1200 model the way i did here . If end result is a little above 600wrms thats ok ........i'm going to bed so u check it & i'll check u back in the morn . |
