Silver Member Username: Need4bassWe-Be-Swamps, Louisiana Post Number: 138 Registered: Oct-05 | 1st speakers don't actually produce any power. 2nd Ignore all MAX ratings 3rd add the nominal or RMS power handling (400+400=800) 4th Look for an amp that will produce 85%-100% of the number above (680 - 800 WRMS). The amp needs to supply this amount of power into the Ohm "load" that you will be connecting to it. If the above speakers are SVC 4ohm subs then you could use an Mono (1 channel amp) that is 2 ohm stable or better. OR You could use a 2 channel amp that produces half of the needed wattage per channel. (340-400WRMS x 2) |
