Posted on Maybe someone out there can calculate this for me as I can't find this info anywhere. This is what I have: 1 - Pioneer 2 channel amp rated stable at 2-8 ohms, 100W RMS or 200W MAX x2 subs or 600W MAX x1 sub. and I have: 4 - SVC Rockford Fosgate 8 ohms 12 inch subs. Right now, 2x 8 ohm subs are wired in parallel and my amp load is 4 ohms. Great! I'd like to add the other 2x 8 ohm subs parallel and I know (using calculators) my amp will be at 2ohms, but the BIG question I have is... How many watts would my amp provide RMS or MAX to each of the 4x subs??? Can my amp handle this? Any help is appreciated! Thanks |

Posted on yea...your amp can handle four 8ohm subs. you would just wire 2 subs to one channel, and 2 subs to the other channel...do not bridge the amp. i dont know how much power your subs would get...i need more info on the amp. How many watts RMS will that amp do @ 2ohms? |

Posted on Thanks, at 2 ohms the amp gives 150W RMS x2 subs. To bridge the amp, does this mean to add a 2nd or 3rd amp? |

Posted on just wire it the way i was talking about above. each sub will get 75wrms. (by the way, what is the RMS rating for your subs? you prolly need to look into getting a more powerful amp) |
