Bronze Member Username: VipersbymsPost Number: 12 Registered: Apr-04 | i would def. recommend not wasting your money on sony xplods. their SQ is horrible and they blow very easily. id wait a little bit save up some money and buy somethin else, unless u already have the money. some kicker comp vr's would be better and u can pick them up off ebay for $130 a pair + shipping, so about $150. you can find them on an online store too for not much more than the xplods n they will have much better SQ and higher SPL.though with those amps it might be better to go with some JL W0's which are 125 watts rms. |

sure_13 Unregistered guest | Stop wasting your time, and just get some JL's, and most likely new amp or amps to go with them. Get at least W3v2's. They arent too much more than W0's, and they are much better all around. |

Silver Member Username: Its_bacon12Post Number: 449 Registered: Dec-03 | no Pat, sony is absolute sh!t heres an example.... one of my friends bought a pair of the pentagon 12" subs and he plugged em into a bp600.1 - they were in some ported box from BB and so anyways, he cranks it up to show them off, after "breaking them in" for a week and the entire cone seperated from the VC and it made this like EXTREMELY loud clapping sound and after about 5 seconds of this, the cone just shattered and the voice coil and spider just kind of flew out...omg it was one of the funniest things but there goes $200 for him lol it was funny |

I wouldn't personally spend money on either brand though.. I'd stick to a stock system first. At least then I know it'd last for a while even if it didn't sound that great. |
