Monday, October 24, 2005 - 06:36 GMT I just got two 12" W6, and was wonderering all the options on wiring them. They are 6.8 ohm or so a piece with dual voice coils i think. is there a way to get them to 2 or 1 ohm? thanks.

Monday, October 24, 2005 - 08:42 GMT Wire the subs in parallel to achieve a 1 ohm load so that your 1 ohm stable amp can power them up. Just wire the positive to positive and negative to negative on each sub and thats it. I have 2 jl 12w6v2's in the prowedge box and they sound amazing with my crossfire vr1000d amp

Monday, October 24, 2005 - 18:54 GMT thanks MO ill be doin that today. I need an amp and was wondering about the hifonics brutus 1500d, I can get one for cheap from a freind? Or should get a more powerful amp? oh yeah, i have the same box as MO.

Monday, October 24, 2005 - 20:30 GMT Just make sure the amp is stable at 2 ohm. I whould look into JBL or Audiobahn or the EDNINE amp over the hifonics brutus 1500d if you cant afford a better amp. Check out ebay for like older Orion XTR amps / that whould be your best bet for a quality amp for cheap.
