I so wish I had the money to get it. I was hoping to spend about $150 on a sub and if I got that one, then that means I will have to upgrade my amp. Don't have that kind of money right now.........just a poor college kid, lol. One of these days tho, I will have an RE sub with a big amp. Besides, I don't even know if that will fit in my little corolla! lol
What amp do you have Young James? You don't have to upgrade your amp. That sub will work with lower powered amp. Just cause it's rated 1000w, doesn't mean you have to feed that much to get good sound. 300w - 400w is adequate for everyday listening. Ask MO, maybe he'll give you a break.
Yeah isaac is correct, you dont need the full 1000 watts rms to get this sub going. Most of the people who do run 1000 watts rms dont even use up 1000 watts rms to begin with. All you really need is about 300-1000 rms range and this will push some serious air as long as the amp is stable at 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Think about it and check my auction on ebay. That box is specifially designed for this subwoofer by a professional RE box builder that has done 145db with this setup and it sounds good clean while doing it
