i was wondering what is the difference in 4ohms and 2ohms what are the positives and negitives of each

Ohms is a measure of resistance. The higher the number the more it is going to "resist" current. Since Power = Volage^2/Resistance, than the lower the resistance, the more power you will get out of your amplifier.

However, the higher the resistive load that the amplifier sees means it will have better control over the driver and it will produce better SQ.

yop. and in terms of subs, 2 or 4 just gives you different options with which to match to your amp(s). the increase in control really isn't going to apply to subs, because their isn't an audible difference at those frequencies (although i'll leap at higher resistance there too if its available).
