Optimal Sub wire size

Post Number: 1262 Registered: May-05	Posted on Saturday, October 15, 2005 - 20:54 GMT 12 aug is fine. i run 8 aug but there really isn't any difference. some say 14 aug is fine for subs, but i personally notice a difference in my amps' efficiency between 14 and 12.

For under 1000w, 18gauge - 14 gauge works fine. Above 1000w, 12gauge - 10gauge works. Close to 2000w, 8 gauge will do nicely. Don't go any lower than that. Just a waste of money. Remember, with output power, there is no high current, just voltage.
