Ok, I know SQ is a lot of personal preference but I was in the local audio shop the other day and I was testing out 1 12" Type R in a ported box. The SQ wasn't too much to brag about IMO. I found that 1 12" Pioneer Premier could outdo it in SPL anyday of the week. They also had Kicker CVR12's there and L7's. Here is my personal ranking.

I am just wondering what people like so much about the type R. I am personally not against it because I do like the subwoofer. It is overall a pretty decently built subwoofer. But for an SQL mix, my 2 RE12's blow it out of the water.... IN MY OPINION
