Custom box for 2 sx 10" subs

hey guys i need an enclosure for 2 re sx 10" subs.
on re website they got an enclosure for dual sub subswoofers and one port on the right side.
what i want to know is , if its better to make a box with 2 ports. One on each side of the sub.
i am attacing the picture of the re enclsure.

this is the picture of the box with 2 ports , one on each side. if i build a box like this with re tech will it be better from the first one.
i am after SPL and overall quality.

The second box should provide more SPL than the first box, but the first box will give u more SQ

actully i am after spl, but will there be alot of difference in quality?
also in the diagram for 10" SQL 3ft@35hz number h says it should be 3" ( is this a mistake ) ? cuz for SQ it says it should be 13.75"

Actually, the first box will be MUCH better than the second box for SPL. Ideally you'lll want to have the woofers as far away from the port as possible. Look at pics of SPL boxes online. The subs are rarely ever centered, but rather pushed off away from the single port.

I'd like to note that RE's box is made for SQL applications. It's not really an SPL design, though i'm sure it would get loud for a daily driver.
