Bronze Member Username: Brady427Post Number: 48 Registered: Sep-05 | how does it compare to Re SX15? |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Http://www.cardomain.c... Post Number: 1187 Registered: May-05 | as i know it, the brahma is an ultimate sq sub, that hapens to have high output. as i understand it, the sx is an spl sub, that happens to have some sq. not nearly that of the brahma though. |
Anonymous | the SX is not an "spl" sub... sorry. i would say it's oriented maybe 75% at most towards SPL.. it can deliver excellent SQ (with the right setup!!) |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Http://www.cardomain.c... Post Number: 1193 Registered: May-05 | lol, what are you sorry about? if a sub is 75% spl (as you put it) and 25% sq, wouldn't you call that a sub geared toward spl that happens to have some sq? and what, in your opinion, is "the right setup" in which the sx would deliver excellent sq? i am honestly curious, as i havn't heard one. (i'm speaking to anonymous here). |
Gold Member Username: Taylor17Kopperl, Texas Post Number: 3099 Registered: Jan-05 | Lol 75% sounds like an spl woofer to me.:-) For spl, the SX, and for loud SQ, Adire. |
Silver Member Username: GoonPost Number: 344 Registered: Feb-05 | just curious how does the adire compare to infinity perfects and eclipse ti? |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 2173 Registered: Aug-05 | i would say that a sub that is 51% SPL and 49% SQ is geared for SPL. but that is just what i would say. lol |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Http://www.cardomain.c... Post Number: 1198 Registered: May-05 | it has more control and is more musical and dynamic than both subs. it reproduces low end extremely accurately and without effort (except for the 600-900 watts required, lol). i really like the Ti though. i almost went with it instead of the brahma because of availability. it was my second choice. i am also a fan of infiniti for the money as well as the relatively low amount of power required. it just lacks output, and i'm an sql guy. i have brahmas now and wouldn't trade them for anything, but i'm already looking forward to my next setup where i plan on running 3 jl w6v2's. excellent sq for only 400-600 watts/sub. plus, i appreciate their design and neat presentation. |
Silver Member Username: GoonPost Number: 345 Registered: Feb-05 | yeah right now i have two 12" perfects. i was thinking of going to a single ti with 800rms to it. what do you think of this? i like the sq of the perfect, but it needs to be louder. which one do you think would give me that better, the ti or the adire? |

Post Number: 1201 Registered: May-05 | you're going to be hard pressed finding a better sq sub than the brahma, period. but especially with the sq it provides at such high output. here is a good comparison of 2 of my top 3 subs, besides xbl2 tech: the crystal cmp and ti. here is a review of the w6 |

Gold Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 4917 Registered: May-04 | Haven't dealt with them. They look impressive, though. |
Gold Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 2197 Registered: Aug-05 | my friend that works at my audioshop has 2 of their 12's, and they sound AMAZING! they are the most accurate and transparent subs i have ever heard, and they are in a ported enclosure. |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 3535 Registered: Jun-04 | impressive muddywaters I like what I see and read on those subs. |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Http://www.cardomain.c... Post Number: 1207 Registered: May-05 | yeah. i think Dewayne from Audionutz runs those subs in his civic. i recall a review ca&e did on their amps. ran them right up there with genesis and the ilk. and get this, it was a class D pushing a pair of edgar horn home speakers. |
