sealed enclosure: around 40-45 hz ported: 10hz above tuning freq of port
if this is for an amp powering mids, generally around 100hz
the point of a subsonic filter is to weed out frequencies below the crossover point (the freq you set it to) in order to protect the speaker from damaging itself/to conserve power (not waste power on freqs yer driver doesnt produce well).

so put it to 40-45 but my box is tuned to 34 hz is that okay still
correction, you should set your sub-son filter to below your box's tuning, b/c otherwise, it will cut-off the freq. in which your box plays the loudest. so about 20-25hz. i was misinformed, and now i am correcting the mistake.
if you were to set the SS filter on your amp to 40-45hz, and your box is tuned to 32hz, then your subs will not sound very loud and they will be lacking in freq. response reducing SQ, and they will never reach the freq, in which they are tuned to play the loudest.
There are two things you do best... post for unknown, unecessary and quite retarded reasons, and hijacking threads. Chill out a bit man. Every three posts i read your in it, and your not really contributing most of the time. If you have a question, start a new thread. Its that simple. Your not helping yourself or others by posting your questions in someone elses thread, it just creates clutter.
