Memphis 5X7 vs 6.5 comp

I have a 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid and recently got an all Memphis Power Reference system installed. I get satisfying bass from my 10" and my highs are plenty (perhaps too bright) due to the addition of SoundStream tweeters in the sail panels up front, but my mid/midbass is lacking noticeably.

The doors have Memphis PR 5X7 coaxs with the aimable tweets. Each door speaker is fed 50W RMS from a PR 100.4 amp, rear sub is fed from a bridged PR 100.2 to a dual voicecoil PR 10" sub parallel wired at 2 ohms.

What I want to know is, if I upgrade the front with a PR 6.5" component set, will I notice an improvement in the mid/midbass? I know round is better SQ than oval and the 6.5" handles a little more power and has a lower frequency responce (40Hz vs 50Hz), but does this also equal better mid/midbass?

I know there are a lot of choices out there, but I really want to keep the whole thing Memphis (may even swap the SoundStream tweets if I go with the Memphis comp set, since the SoundStreams are almost too much highs).

Thanks for any input/help.
