I am thinking about paying about $1,600 for the speakers, 4ch amp, and HU, but not much over. About $1000 for the sub and its mono amp. HU: CDA-9853 ($400) IPOD Hookup: KCA-420i ($100) Front speakers: SWX-137R ($440) 5-1/4" 60RMS 240 peak Rear speakers: SPR-69LP ($190) 6" x 9" 55RMS 275 peak *Size of speaker does not matter AMP for F & R speakers: MRV-F345 ($500) 75RMS Sub: SWX-1242D ($550) 12" 1000RMS 3000 peak Mono AMP for sub: MRD-M1005 ($600) 1000RMS *Can be found at http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/main_info?p_main=10 My questions are: 1. Am I better off getting the CDA-9855 HU because of the 4V preouts? Or a different company brand? 2. Are there any other brands of component speakers that you would recommend? 3. Are the rear speakers fine or should I go with a different brand/model? 4. Would you recommend this amp to power these speakers? 5. Is this a good sub/mono amp combination that hits hard?
