I can hook my ED A series 12 inch up as a 1 ohm load using its dual 2 ohm voice coils. Would this sound alrite? and if so could I run it on a JBL 300.1? or a 600.1 if not which amplifier should I get. Thank you in advance.

if you go with a JBL BP series sub amp, wire the sub with parallel coils for a 1 Ohm load.
the 300.1 would give you 300wRMS, and the 600.1 twice that.
