If he is worried about the SQ difference between a 10" and a 12" sub [which I dont know if that assumption is necessarily true] than he should def go with the Alpines since he is concerned with SQ. They will sound soooo much cleaner than the L7. The L7s are pure SPL, ive never heard anyone on this forum recommend the L7s for a SQ setup.
