I have a 1993 s10 blazer w/4.3l vortec and I just got a directed 1100d and a PG xenon 200.2 amp. My lights dim already at idle with a 100 amp stock alternator and my jbl px 300.4 with a 78 amp draw. Out goes the jbl and in goes the PG and the directed, so how big an alt do i need? could i get away with a 160 amp alt or would i need bigger like a 200? thanks guys,

The price diff between a 160 amp and 200 amp alternator shouldnt be too much.. It's always better to have an alternator that dosnt have to work to it's full potential constantly...and will be nice to have for future upgrades, etc...

Always better to be on the safe side.
