Silver Member Username: RovinTrinidad & T... Post Number: 691 Registered: Jul-05 | Oh i now noticed u said for 2 subs - then 2 PPI RF T30001bd amp is rated 3000wrms @ 1 ohm .... |
Gold Member Username: Mikechec9Http://www.cardomain.c... Post Number: 1020 Registered: May-05 | serious amp. good options. 1300-2000.00 for the rf though. i'd strap one amp on each sub. a ed nine.1 for each would give you 1200-1400 watts/sub @ 1ohm for 700.00. 3yr warranty or 2 of the kickers dustin made ref to. all are viable options |
Silver Member Username: Riebread77Post Number: 654 Registered: Jun-05 | juss get two RE 12.1's...$380 shipped...underrated so more like 1400-1500 watts...$760 for solid amps |

Silver Member Username: Loc_outPost Number: 264 Registered: Feb-05 | Would I be able to use this amp KX2500.1? RMS Power: 1250W x 1 @ 4 ohms RMS Power: 2500W x 1 @ 2 ohms |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana USA Post Number: 1090 Registered: Mar-04 | Loc_out, that kx2500.1, orion 2500d, or the RF t3000 would be good matches for 2 XXX 15's. (but w/ the 2500d, you would need to get the dvc 4ohm version XXX, bout $25 extra per sub) but personally, i would wait on RE to release the new XXX's and their new amps...the RE 22.1's ![]() your gonna need a serious charging system in your car to drive an amp like the ones mentioned above! |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4381 Registered: Nov-04 | If you have the cash, Zapco C2K 9.0 will power those subs easily. That would be my first choice. For even better SQ setup, try couple of C2K 6.0. Depending on your VC configurations, couple of Orion HCCA 250G4s or 275G4s will be within in your budget while providing excellent SQ and power. Orion 2500D works too, as well as 1200D x 2. Since you're investing on couple of RE X.X.X subs, you might as well go all out. FYI, I too my MT 15" sub and tested it against JL W7 in a HO box. It produced excellent, clear bass without distorting, and trigged car alarm on some car near by. At high volume, you can't be MT. |

Silver Member Username: Loc_outPost Number: 266 Registered: Feb-05 | Isaac whould work best to have 1 big amp to power both subs or have 4 HCCA 250G4s? |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4383 Registered: Nov-04 | It's better to have less number of amps. Every ps in the amp wastes power even with no sound. However, if you have the space and power, the G4s will work great cause the master amp can control the slave amps. You set the xover/gain/bass freq on the master amp once and it'll override the settings on the slaves. If you can't afford C2K 9.0 amp, then you won't lose anything in SQ wise with those G4 amps. In fact, I'm considering doing the same with my MT, powering each VC with separate 250G4s. |
Silver Member Username: Loc_outPost Number: 267 Registered: Feb-05 | Isaac will i need 2 or 3 250G4s to power one 15 XXX? Orion 2500D will work alsor right? How does the 15 XXX compare to JL 13w7 or IDmax? Oh i looked at the C2k9.0 and it's a lil bit out of my budget right now. |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4394 Registered: Nov-04 | The C2K 9 used to sell for $900 on the average on eBay, that is why I mentioned it. Unless you have 2 or 4 G4 amps hanging around, I'd go with one 2500D. Much easier to install and configure. I however, do have few 250G4s and 275G4s. JL W7 is a great sub. I've listened to one today in their custom HO box. I don't know how JL designed that box, but it makes the sub sound 1.5x louder than normal ported box. You can't really compare 13W7 with 15" X.X.X sub cause W7 is 1000w rms, and RE is 1600w rms. I guess at lower volume, they should sound similar, with W7 getting a slight edge. At higher volume, RE wins. After today's little demo of my MT sub, the guys selling JL W7, were undecided. In the beginning, the preached JL W7 is the best sub, but at the end, since my MT sounded better and more clear at high volume, they couldn't sell me the W7. I told them, if the JL could beat my MT sub in SQ/SPL, I'd buy one. MT is not a SQ sub, but give it enough power, and it sounds great. |
