Unregistered guest | I have around $200 to spend on an amp for my Infinity kappa perfects 6.1. I found a MTX TA3404 4-CH THUNDER AMPLIFIER AMP XTANT TA 3404 NEW for $199.00. This sounds like a really nice amp for what ive read, but some sites say its a class D amp, Although it has 200watts RMS X 2, is rated at 4ohms. Any Suggestions? Let me know what you guys think. Thanks. |

Just got a Panny xr55 digital receiver for home use and it is spectacular for the money, better than my Marantz which cost 3 times as much. |
Unregistered guest | Im not sure.. I thought class D meant it was made for subs? Can any one help me out? |

OCTANE-R 4.0:2 is only $109 shipped off ebay...125 watts X 2 @ 4 ohms. Xenon x100.2 is only $150 shipped off ebay...100 watts X 2 @ 4 ohms. Both amps are underrated as well. |

In CAR Audio I'm still pretty much a noob. Actually there are "class D" amps that are not for subs, at least in home audio. It's too bad because this new digital technology is IMHO way superior to analog and should be much cheaper too. |

However as faster MOSFETS were developed full range was obtained. Info on amps: http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/amplifiers.html Like Ryan said, ebay is the best place to look for a decent amp under $200 might be able to get good deals on Eclipse or alpines for that price...keep your eyes peeled. |
