Are you sure you didn't mean 10sq-mm? 4/0 AWG is about the diameter of a man's wrist. 10sq-mm is 8AWG, and a far more common size for car audio power wire.. usually about the smallest wire used for amplifier power and ground.. it's about the diameter of your pinky (smallest) finger. |

Platinum Member Username: GlasswolfWisteria, Lane USA Post Number: 10329 Registered: Dec-03 | wire gauge (AWG) goes from 2 to 1 to 1/0 to 2/0 to 3/0 yes 4/0 is 0000 or .46" diameter wire. 0AWG is .3249" diameter or 53.475 mm^2 you're not going to fine car audio fuse accessories for 0000AWG wire. sorry. Ho much current are you drawing? 0AWG is sufficient for 330A or so and you can run two 0AWG lines if need be. |
Bronze Member Username: MisoSlovakia Post Number: 57 Registered: Feb-05 | now i get it,finally:-) you are right it is around 0AWG,but according to salesman it is 100sqmm.Whatever,0AWG-that is about the size of cable i have. I should be drawing around 300A,so it should be ok,if not i run another cable, but i dont think it would be necessary, thank you very much,Glasswolf |
