Understanding 4 channel amp

I am trying to understand how a four channel amp works when it is used to power a pair of speakers and also a sub by bridging two of the channels.

For example this kicker amp (kx350.4) puts out
60W X 4 @ 4ohms and
175w X 4 @ 4ohms it also says 90w X 4 @ 2ohms

IF i power speakers with the first two channels at 60 watts, what happens to that rating if the other two channels are bridged, is it still 60 watts and 175 for a sub or does it take all 4 channels to produce this 175w? Thanks.

read this:

then understand that a 4 channel amp is simply two two-channel amplifiers in a single casing. makes more sense if you think of it that way.. since that's what you really have.. two amps, sharing a single power supply sometimes.. but all in one case.

60 watts x 4 @ 4 ohms
90 watts x 4 @ 2 ohms
175 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms bridged.

bridged, you get half the channels, and the amp is only stable to 4 ohms, but you get the same power into two channels at 4 ohms that you'd get combined from all four channels at 2 ohms unbridged.
