Posted on a quad coil sub is made to be run with 2 or 4 amplifiers.
if you're using a single mono amp, you get either a .25 ohm load, or a 4 ohm load.

Posted on you can get a 1ohm load to a single amp w/ a quad 1ohm sub, too.
just wire each pair of coils in series-parrallel. |

Posted on yeah but you'd still need to find a 1 ohm stable amp.
not a lot of good ones around, and the good ones are expensive.
