Silver Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 904 Registered: Aug-05 | i think he meant two to two-and-a-quarter cubic foot ported box for a single IDMAX. not 2 subs in a 2.25cuft box, but i am not a mindreader |
Silver Member Username: Monkey_manPost Number: 274 Registered: May-05 | lol. what does "two to two-and-a-quarter" mean eny weyz? |
Silver Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 907 Registered: Aug-05 | that is the internal measurements of the box you would need if you built it the way Joe recommended. (D x W x H) or (L x W x H) L = length,D = depth. they are the same thing. anyways you subtract the thickness of the Wood(or Micro Dense Fiber) from each of the measurements to get the internal measurements of the box, for example if your wood is 3/4 of an inch thick then you would subtract 1-1/2 inches from each measurement, then multiply all of those measurements together and divide by 1,728(that is the nuber of inches in a cubic foot. and you have your internal box volume. |

Silver Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 918 Registered: Aug-05 | if it is a 12" IDMAX, then i have got you setup, just fill in the required blanks. if not, then you will have to select a different box. |

Silver Member Username: Monkey_manPost Number: 279 Registered: May-05 | What port type should i choose? ?If slotted then what's the "square inches of port area" mean? |
Gold Member Username: Jonathan_fGA USA Post Number: 4684 Registered: May-04 | If you want more emphasis on SQ, I'd go around 2.5 cu ft net tuned to 25 hz, slot port If you want more all around bump and good SQ, I'd go around 2 cu ft net tuned to 32 hz. |
