I am new here, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to setup a system to get the full power. 1 1200w mono amp powering 2 1200w subs. I want the subs to get the full 1200w each. As in 2400w total. Please help. I plan on using IDMAX subs and I am not sure what amp.

Let me get this right...you want one amp to deliver 2400 watts rms x 1. Not many options (as far as I have seen). The ones you do have will get expensive. Are you sure you don't want to get one amp per sub? If you look into that there are many options, cheap and expensive.
As for 1 channel amps that will deliver the power you are looking for, here are a few:

I am not sure on prices, but I know that they are spendy.

Orion huh...is their newer stuff any good? I know their old school car audio equipment was great. But, then the company was sold and from what I have been told (not that I have heard it for myself) their new stuff is not so great. If you are running those subs, you are going to want a NICE amp...not some entry level gear.

Oh yeah...JBL make some really big amps too. But, they arnt that great. They look cool though.
Well i recently heard on another thread US Amps were bought off too .
Orion is still on the highly recommended section in car audio & price is reasonable .If the guy budget permits then by all means buy the best he can afford like some of the higher brand names .

US Amps was bought out, my local audioshop used them like crazy before they got bought out, then they ordered some of their new amps, and sent back 7 IN A ROW. so they quit carrying them.
i got lucky and got one of their amps before they got bought out, the 4300x
