Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3475 Registered: Aug-04 | Hey Glass, I just wanted your opinion on this Xtant amp - XTANT 302A www.ebay.com item number - 5800799015 I was gonna bid on a Zapco C2K 1.0X, but I realized it puts out 50 wrms at 2 ohms, not 4. I'm planning on running a set of Resonant Engineering RE comps. With the gains down, should I be ok pushing them with the Xtant? I know The C2K's are great, but would this Xtant be comparable to Zapco's reference line? |

Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3484 Registered: Aug-04 | I've already looked into Zapco amps. I was all ready to buy a C2K 1.0X until I realized it was 50 wrms at 2 ohms, not 4. The Reference 200.2 would work great, but does anybody know a good reliable site to get one from? I know about USA amps too, and looked at one on ebay for about 300 bucks. The problem is I don't where else I can buy USA amps from off the net. Anybody know a good reliable site? The reason I was asking about the Xtant was because of the price. It's almost too low to pass up, if Xtant really is all it's supposed to be. |

Silver Member Username: Basshead86Ocala, FL USA Post Number: 736 Registered: Aug-05 | i'm pretty sure those are brand new amps just from looking at the prices. |
Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3485 Registered: Aug-04 | Yeah. I'd actually rather find a good used amp. If I bought brand new, I would only buy direct, or from an authorized dealer so I make sure I have the warranty. |

yeah, that does make more sense |
Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3486 Registered: Aug-04 | Well, that Xtant Auction already ended now. If I still really want it I'll try to email the guy and see if he'll relist it. |
Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4039 Registered: Nov-04 | This is what I was bidding on. It is an excellent amp. See if you can win it. It'll end in 30 mins. 5803427212. |

Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3489 Registered: Aug-04 | Man that's a nice amp, but it's 100 wrms at 4 ohms. I only need about 50. I'm watching a Zapco AG360, it's a 4 channel, but 50 wrms per channel, so it would work great and I'd still have 2 channels left if I ever needed them. I'm also watching a PPI Art A404. Pretty much same ratings as the Zapco. 50 wrmst at 4 ohms at 4 channels. |

Gold Member Username: CarguyPost Number: 4043 Registered: Nov-04 | Yea I saw that amp. Something's has to be wrong with those people. Maybe they do not know what they have. Joe, that is 100w of clean power. Lot of components will handle that without burning out. Unless your HU is 100% perfect, it'll produce distortion as you raise the volume. I would rather have 50w rms at mid level than at max level. |
Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3492 Registered: Aug-04 | Yeah, that's true. I think I would be ok with something GOOD putting out 75 or 100 wrms, as long as I keep the gains down. I never crank the volume anways. |

Gold Member Username: InvainMichigan United States Post Number: 3494 Registered: Aug-04 | Only problem is that woofersetc isn't an authorized dealer... And I've heard some bad things about woofersetc |
Silver Member Username: Kd7nfrMontpelier, ID United States Post Number: 754 Registered: Apr-05 | Yea, they grind the serial # off of the amps, so Zapco can't find out where they get the amps from and shut 'em down. |
