i've got 2 twelves 500 rms a pieces and 1000 watt total i want it to bump pretty hard but there only 4 ohm so what kind of an amp do i need

Tony,
Do your subs have dual voice coils, or single voice coils?
If they are single, you need to look for an amp that puts out 1000w RMS at 2 ohms. If they are dual, you need to get an amp that puts out 1000w RMS at 1 ohm (or 4 ohm).
