if the jl's are 10" or 12" then an amp that would do between 500-700 watts @ 1 or 4 ohms. If they are the 15's then a 1000 watt amp at 1 or 4 ohms would be perfect.
I'll say this since no one else is, Hifonics do not make great amps. They may be cheap in price and high in power numbers, but don't expect high quality. I'd say they're good for SPL system at low price. If you're going to spend money on JL subs, why not invest in a little better amp?
Was about to say the same thing - if a guy can afford something from JL , why not get a JL amp or from a similiar/higher ranking company say MMATS , Zapco ,US amps or Arc audio ......
my brother got 2 12 jlw3v2s an box 4 like 50bucks an he had a payarmid amp powerin dem an wow it sounded amazing but the ohms killed da amp an blew da 1 channle so i guess hes better 2 get a 700wat hifonics amp at 1ohm 2 power them now
